| Welcome to Yemeni Seafood Exporters Association

The Yemeni Seafood Exporters Association (YSEA) was established at the beginning of 2005 under the patronage of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
YSEA supports member’s affairs in the local side through official authorities of that concern especially the Ministry of Fish Wealth and fishery cooperative union and others of official and unofficial authorities.
YSEA tends to promote members activity in the field of seafood exporting and to develop its international relationship especially with European Union, Asian markets, Japanese markets as well as the American markets in the way that provides services to its members and contributing in the promotion of Yemeni Exports.
The sector currently counts 42 seafood producers and exporters of which more than half are members of the association.

| Develop the Yemeni seafood sector in a sustainable and transparent manner by addressing pertaining issues from catch to consumer, involving all stakeholders and by building capacity of the YSEA members to increase global market share of high quality products. |

 A Yemeni Seafood Quality Mark (YSQM) has been designed in consultation with different stakeholders. It will be awarded to those operators that follow agreed codes of practice, and who have been assessed by qualified assessors. The operators include fishermen, landing sites, and processing factories.
